He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him. Psalm 126:6

About us

I imagine that once our child is announced, I will have a few followers because she has been a much- loved, much-prayed-for and much-advocated-for angel.  So I should probably take a moment and introduce my family.  The lucky parents are Scott and Lydia.  Scott is a stay at home dad, and a martial artist.  Lydia is a professor of accounting at LaGrange College, and a yogini.  We are the blessed parents of eight - seven born in my heart and one born under it.

I will be posting much more about my eight fabulous children in the future.  Thanks for sharing this journey with us!

  1. I have been in prayer for Gabby since she resides in the same orphanage as my future son. God bless you for following God's call and for embracing this darling little one. I am happy to follow you, pray for you, and support you in any way I can. Thank you for choosing Gabby...I know she will be a priceless treasure to your family, just as our little boy from the same place will be to our family too!

  3. Gee, how did I know who would beat me to the punch in the comment department? ;) Jennifer & Susanna, I love you guys and your dedication to ALL the children in this orphanage.

Lydia - I have been praying for Gabby for a long time. I showed her to my family. I asked, where is her Mama? When will she see her? As time was growing short I pleaded in a blog post. Many, many people posted in the RR facebook group. Then, the very same day of my blog post, I saw her on MFFM, and I nearly cried. Someone replied to me on the FB group to go check MFFM... and there she was! THANK YOU for being the answer to everyone's prayers, for seeing this precious little girl and being open to her and accepting her as a daughter, for saying YES. I've been following all the kids from her orphanage since Susanna's daughter Katie came home, and I just can't wait to see them all out of there! Trust me - you'll be up to your ears in followers by morning! We'll be following along with your story :)

  4. I'm so excited to follow your journey! Following Susannas journey and several others from the same orphanage, I have felt the strong lead to advocate for these children. Gabby had my heart from the first time I saw her sweet cheeks! Bless your family!
